  1. The scanning issue can arise because of multiple reasons like Scanner Unreachable, Computer not found, etc.
  2. You can fix this by using Webscan. It is a feature available to help you scan documents and photos.
  3. Start the process by locating the Webscan feature in the printer’s Embedded Web Server in order to save your scans to a Chromebook.
  4. Connect your printer and the Chromebook to the same wireless network.
  5. Get the printer’s IP address.
  6. If your printer is a touchscreen or has a menu-based control panel, you can get the IP address in the Wireless menu or Network Settings.
  7. If your printer has a control panel menu, obtain the IP address by printing a network configuration page.
  8. Enter the IP address in the Chrome browser address line, and tap Enter to open your printer Embedded Web Server.
  9. Select Scan present in the top menu.
  10. A message will display ‘You cannot use this function because it has been disabled.’
  11. Tap Settings present in the top menu bar, select Security, and open Administrator Settings.
  12. You will be redirected to a secure HTTPS-enabled page.
  13. Tap OK or Redirect to HTTPS.
  14. If you get a message stating Your connection is not private, open Advanced and then Proceed to.
  15. Under the Administrator Settings,
  16. tick the check-box next to Webscan or Webscan to EWS, click Apply and then OK.
  17. Go back to the Scan menu, choose from the available scan settings, and tap Start Scan.
  18. Right-click the scanned document and tap Save as to choose the file type, name, and destination folder.
  19. Doing this might resolve the scanning issue you are facing.
