Your HP printer might display an error message if the printheads are not seated properly. Discard the printhead that is indicated by the printer icon on its operation panel. Raise the exterior door and then open the printhead access door. Push the blue carriage latch gently. Press down on the printhead slightly and pull to remove it completely from the slot. Ensure that the plugs that are present on top of the printhead are removed. Check if all the tapes on the printhead contacts are discarded.
