Issue: Officejet 4500 Won't Print with new HP Laptop [Solved]


  • The printing issue of the Officejet 4500 Printer with the HP Laptop can be resolved by connecting it with the WPS.
  • Use WPS to connect the Printer with the wireless network.
  • Press the WPS button, if the router doesn’t support WPS skip the step and connect the Printer.
  • Turn on the printer and reset the Printer network settings.
  • Press the WPS button and hold it until the Power light Blinks and wait until the wireless light blinks.
  • Reset the printer for any network settings which keeps the Printer in setup mode for 2 hours.
  • Hold the WPS button in the router until the printer shows the WPS connection process has started. If Printer is connected, the blue Wireless light remains on.
  • Uninstall the Printer software in the desktop and install the full feature Printer software by following the below steps.

  • Open Programs and features and then select HP Printer to Uninstall it. If the Printer is present in Devices and Printers, then right click on it to select Delete or Remove Device.
  • Using the Windows key + R combo, open the run command and type printui.exe/s then click on Drivers tab and look for HP Printer driver.
  • Click remove at the bottom and then click apply in the Print server Properties windows.
  • Once the process is completed, disconnect the power cord from the router and turn off the Printer.
  • Wait for the light to display in a normal connected status by reconnecting the power cord.
  • Switch on both Printer and computer then try to print.
