OfficeJet 4630 alignment error | How to fix [solved]


The alignment failed or alignment unsuccessful error message may appear on the printer’s control panel. Carry out the steps below to fix the issue.

  1. First, check if the scanner is working. Ensure the light in the scanner light is glowing and moving across the glass while scanning.
  2. Now, after confirming that the scanner is in good condition, proceed with the steps below.
  3. Turn the printer off and unplug it from the outlet.
  4. Wait for about 3 seconds and turn the printer on again.
  5. Select the Setup option on the control panel.
  6. Select the Clean Print head option and then choose Align Printer. Repeat the step twice if the problem persists.

Resetting the printer

  1. If the above steps didn’t help, carry out the steps provided below.
  2. Power up your OfficeJet 4630 printer and wait until the warm-up period finishes.
  3. Now, without turning off the printer, plug the power cord out. Remove the cord from the wall outlet as well.
  4. After a few seconds, reconnect the cord to the wall outlet and then to the printer’s rear. Wait for the printer to power up on its own. You can turn it on manually if it fails to do so. Check if the issue is resolved.
  5. Service the printer if the issue persists.
