Issue: HP Envy 5660 e-All-in-One Printer keeps going offline [ Solved ]


  • Try setting a manual IP address for your HP Envy 5660 printer.
  • Get the IP address of your device by touching the Wireless icon on the front panel of the HP printer.
  • Get the printer’s Embedded Web Server Page by typing the IP address on any web browser and then tap the Enter key on your keyboard.
  • Now navigate to the Network tab and click the General option.
  • Choose Network Protocols and then select the Enable IP V4 Only option.
  • Click OK to save the changes and then move to the Network tab again.
  • Select Wireless (802.11) and then click Network Address (IP V4).
  • Choose the Manual IP Address option and the address gets filled up automatically. If the manual address does not fills up, type it and then select PK.
  • Now check if the offline issue on your Envy 5660 printer has been rectified.
  • Download and install a new version of the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool to resolve the connectivity errors.
  • After downloading the the tool and then run the HPPSdr.exe file from the Downloads folder on your PC.
  • After the software opens, select Start and click your Envy 5660 printer.
  • Choose Retry if your printer’s name is not available in the list.
  • Enable the printer updates by selecting the Yes button.
  • Follow the procedures that appear in HP Print and Scan Doctor to fix the offline problem. If the error continues, ascertain to set the HP Envy 5660 printer as the default.
  • Check if there are any connection issues with the wired or wireless connection and perform the necessary steps to resolve the same.
